Sega Technical Institute

El Sega Technical Institute (STI) fue un estudio de creación de videojuegos de la empresa Sega, con sede en los Estados Unidos, al contrario de las divisiones AM, con sede en Japón.

Historia

Entre los juegos creados por el STI están Comix Zone, Kid Chameleon y Die Hard Arcade, que posteriormente apareció con la AM1 para arcade.

También desarrolló el juego Sonic the Hedgehog 2, bajo la supervisión del Sonic Team, incluyendo a Yuji Naka y Hirokazu Yasuhara. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 fue desarrollado por la filial japonesa de la STI, que también creó el juego Sonic & Knuckles. La parte estadounidense trabajó en Sonic Spinball. Después del cancelamiento del juego Sonic X-treme el STI se disolvió.
