Shokan es una raza de criaturas del juego Mortal Kombat.

Descripción

La característica principal de los Shokan son sus 4 brazos. Los Shokans son criaturas cuya mitad es humana y la otra mitad dragón (aunque otros sean mitad tigre, como Kintaro) además de ser extremadamente fuertes. Los Shokans más sobresalientes son Goro, que aparece en el primer Mortal Kombat como sub-jefe, Kintaro sub-jefe en Mortal Kombat 2 y Sheeva, luchadora común de la raza Shokan en Mortal Kombat 3 y Ultimate Mortal Kombat. Los Shokans ya se enfrentaron a los ejércitos de Shao Khan en Mortal Kombat Gold, por medio de una negociación con Kitana.

Curiosidades

  • Los fans creían que Goro y Kintaro eran familiares, Kintaro y Goro son de la misma raza pero no son familiares.
  • En la biografía de Sheeva decía que ella era amante de Goro, no se sabe si ellos tuvieron una relación.
  • En el capítulo de Los Simpsons Marge_Be_Not_Proud (traducido al español "Marge no seas orgullosa" o "El bebé de mamá"), se puede apreciar un videojuego llamado "Bonestorm", que parodia a Mortal Kombat. En la demo se puede observar dos shokan peleando.
  • El aliens Num: 2 que sale en Ben 10, mejor conocido como Cuatro brazos tambien pertenece a las criaturas de los Shokans. En especial es un Shokan-alien.
