Sisimiut es un municipio en Groenlandia del sudoeste dentro de el condado de Groenlandia Kitaa (Groenlandia Occidental).

Sisimiut (danés: Holsteinsborg) es también la capital municipal. Con 5.460 habitantes en 2010, es el segundo pueblo más grande en Groenlandia.

Sus coordenadas son 66°56′20″N 53°40′20″W, se encuentra 75 km al norte del Círculo polar ártico y es el puerto más septentrional libre de hielo durante el año en Groenlandia.

En el municipio también están los pueblos de Itilleq y Sarfannguaq así como el asentamiento de Kangerlussuaq que tiene el aeropuerto más grande de Groenlandia
