Stoddard Solvent

El solvente Stoddard es un líquido inflamable, incoloro, que huele y sabe a queroseno. Se transformará en vapor a temperaturas de 150-200 °C.

El solvente Stoddard es una mezcla de petróleo conocida también como solvente de seguridad para limpiado en seco, solvente de petróleo, y varnolina; los nombres de marca registrada son Texsolve® Varsol®. Es una mezcla química similar a los destilados de petróleo.

El solvente Stoddard es usado para diluir pinturas; en ciertos tipos de tóners para fotocopiadoras, tintas de impresora, y adhesivos; como solvente para limpiado al seco; y como limpiador y desgrasador de uso general.
