Vajrapani

Vajrapani

Vajrapani cuyo nombre en sánscrito significa "Sostenedor del Vajra" es un "Dharmapala", un guardián del Dharma. Es un Bodhisattva del Budismo Mahāyāna considerándolo protector y guía de Buda y es considerada la manifestación del poder del Buda además del sostenedor del linaje de las enseñanzas del Tantra de Buda.

Vajrapani es correlativo al dios Indra hindú.
