Awareness League

Awareness League (AL), que significa Liga de la Conciencia, es una organización anarquista de Nigeria, activa desde 1991, se estima que participan en ella miles de integrantes, dos mil de ellos afiliados. La Liga de la Conciencia ha pasado por duros momentos de represión, haciendo esfuerzos como organización aislada y continuando esporádicamente, así como también se han logrado contactar con el resto del movimiento anarquista.

Es conocida por tener orientación anarcosindicalista, habiéndose adherido a la IWA-AIT en su congreso de Madrid en diciembre de 1996. La mebresía de la Liga está primordialmente enfocada al servicio civil, estudiantes, académicos, profesores universitarios, periodistas y demás activistas de la izquierda nigeriana. Sus militantes han sido parte activa de importantes huelgas de los servicios públicos.
