  • HMS Formidable (1759) fue un navío de línea de segunda categoría armado con 80 cañones que fue capturado a Francia en la Batalla de la bahía Quiberon en 1759, y desguazado en 1768.
  • HMS Formidable (1777) fue un navío de línea de segunda categoría armado con 90 cañones botado en 1777. Luchó en las batallas de Ushant en 1778 y en la de Saintes, fue convertido a tercera clase y 74 cañones en 1813, y desguazado un año después.
  • HMS Formidable (1825) fue un navío de línea de segunda categoría armado con 84 cañones botado en 1825. fue usado como buque escuela desde 1869 y vendido en 1906.
  • HMS Formidable (1898) fue un acorazado predreadnought de la clase Formidable botado en 1898 y torpedeado y hundido en 1915.
  • HMS Formidable (R67) fue un portaaviones de la clase Illustrious botado en 1939 y vendido para desguace en 1953.
