Los het (a veces llamados "pampas antiguos") son un conjunto de parcialidades o etnias que habitaban una parte considerable de Argentina. El jesuita inglés Thomas Falkner (1774) los subdividió en tres grandes parcialidades: taluhet, didiuhet y chechehet.[1]

La distribución a finales del siglo XVIII era de norte a sur:

Lengua

De la lengua de los querandíes o diuihet sólo se conocen dos oraciones y unas pocas palabras registradas por marineros franceses alrededor de 1555. Esta evidencia es muy escasa para poder identificar de manera concluyente un parentesco, aunque sobre la base de esos pocos datos Viegas Barros (1992) muestra que la lengua de los querandíes podría haber estado emparentada con la de los gününa küne.[2]
