Hydrilla, es un género monotípico de plantas acuáticas perteneciente a la familia Hydrocharitaceae. Su única especie: Hydrilla verticillata (L.f.) Royle, Ill. Bot. Himal. Mts.: t. 376 (1839), es originaria del este de Europa, Asia, Uganda hasta norte de Zambia.
