Jonathan Carver.

Jonathan Carver (1710-1780) fue un explorador de América del Norte y escritor. Nació en el estado de Massachusetts y se crio en el de Connecticut.

Sirvió en las milicias y en un regimiento de Massachusetts hasta 1766, cuando el mayor Robert Rogers, comandante de Fort Michilimackinac contrató a Carver y le envió en una expedición a Minnesota.

En 1769 marchó a Inglaterra y dedicó el resto de su vida a escribir. Su obra más importante se titula Viajes.
