Primeros años

Temple es hija de la productora Amanda Pirie y del director de cine Julien Temple.[1] [2] Asistió al Enmore Primary School, al Bedales School y al King's College, Taunton. Tiene dos hermanos menores, Leo y Felix Temple

Carrera artistica

Temple comenzó su carrera como actriz infantil en la película de 1997 Vigo: Passion for Life, una película acerca de Jean Vigo.[3]

Ha obtenido elogios de la crítica por varios papeles secundarios. Un crítico dijo que ella interpretó su papel en Notes on a Scandal con "petulancia y angustia",[4] mientras que su interpretación en Atonement ha sido llamada como "impresionante".[5] Algunos de sus otros créditos cinematográficos incluyen a Celia en St Trinian's y St. Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold, Drippy (Jennifer Logan) en Wild Child, y Jane Parker en The Other Boleyn Girl.[6] En el 2009, Temple protagonizó la comedia Year One, junto a Jack Black y Michael Cera. También interpretó a Di Radfield en la adaptación de Cracks, de Sheila Kohler.

Interpreta el papel principal en Ofelia, una adaptación de Hamlet de Shakespeare.[7]

Temple también ha aparecido en los videos musicales Milkmaid de Kid Harpoon y Just Impolite de Plushgun.[8] Ella hará el papel de Diane en la historia de Jack & Diane.[9]

En el 2011, aparecerá en la adaptación fílmica en 3D de Los tres mosqueteros, dirigida por Paul W.S. Anderson, como Ana de Austria, reina consorte de Francia. La película también será protagonizada por Logan Lerman, Orlando Bloom, Milla Jovovich, Christoph Waltz y Mads Mikkelsen.

Protagoniza Dirty Girl de Abe Sylvia, que se estrenó el 12 de septiembre de 2010, en el Festival de Cine de Toronto, co-protagonizada por Milla Jovovich, Jeremy Dozier, William H. Macy, Mary Steenburgen y Tim McGraw.

Recientemente se anunció su participacion en la pelicula de Batman The Dark Knight Rises, dirigida por Christopher Nolan, cuyo estreno está previsto para 2012.

Viaje a Chile

Durante el segundo semestre del 2011, Juno llegará a Santiago de Chile para filmar la película Magic, Magic del director chileno Sebastián Silva (La Nana) y en donde será la protagonista. Las locaciones de filmación serán Santiago y Ranco (Región de Los Rios) al sur de Chile. Entre el elenco figuran Michael Cera, Emily Browning, Catalina Saavedra y Catalina Sandino Moreno. La cinta que cuenta la historia de una muchacha (Temple) que es invitada por su mejor amiga (Browning) de vacaciones a Chile, ahí luego de un viaje al sur del país sudaméricano, perderá el control de la realidad. El estreno de esta cinta que apunta al terror psicológico está previsto para el 2013.[cita requerida]
