La hora más oscura (The Darkest Hour en V.O.) es una película de ciencia ficción de 2011 dirigida por Chris Gorak y producida por Timur Bekmambetov. El argumento se centra en una invasión alienigena que asola Rusia. La película está prevista que se estrene en Estados Unidos y en Rusia el 25 de diciembre de 2011.

Argumento

Cuatro estudiantes estadounidenses viajan a Moscú, pero lo que debían ser unos días lúdicos acaba por convertirse en una pesadilla cuando ven como una invasión extraterrestre empieza a sembrar el pánico. Los jóvenes tratarán de sobrevivir y combatirlos.

Producción

The Darkest Hour está dirigida por Chris Gorak y producida por Timur Bekmambetov, quien aseguró que pretendía hacer una película sobre alienigenas desde una perspectiva rusa.[1]

El presupuesto del film es de 50 millones de dólares y fue rodada en Moscú el 18 de julio de 2010.[2] La producción hizo uso de recursos de la compañía Bazelevs. El rodaje tuvo que ser suspendido temporalmente durante tres semanas por la ola de incendios que afectó a Moscú y al óblast. En septiembre de 2010 finalizó el rodaje y se anunció que la fecha del estreno sería el 7 de abril de 2011, sin embargo se retrasó hasta el 23 de diciembre por las dificultades del rodaje en el país.[3]
