Back spin

El Back spin es una técnica de manipulación del sonido de música en discos de vinilo. Se realiza con dos vinilos (normalmente, el mismo disco en dos platos) y una mesa de mezclas. Esta técnica permite al dj (disc jockey, pinchadiscos) rebobinar un compás de uno de los discos mientras suena el otro, y así, en los trozos de pausas (breaks) donde no hay voz, un MC (Master of ceremony, vocalista) puede cantar con un micrófono, sin que se termine la canción. Era una técnica muy popular originariamente en el Bronx neoyorquino, donde se generó el movimiento hip hop.
