Merit Ptah (c. 2700 a. C.) fue una médica del Antiguo Egipto. Es la primera mujer conocida por su nombre en la historia de la medicina y posiblemente, también la primera mujer mencionada en toda la historia de la ciencia. Su imagen puede verse en una tumba en la necrópolis cercana a la pirámide escalonada de Saqqara. Su hijo, que era sumo sacerdote, la describió como "la médica jefe".

En su honor, la Unión Astronómica Internacional bautizó un cráter de impacto en Venus como Merit Ptah.
