NISC

Ordenador sin conjunto de instrucciones o NISC es una arquitectura de computación y tecnología de compilación para el diseño de compiladores y aceleradores hardware de alta eficiencia, permitiendo al compilador tener control a bajo nivel.

NISC es una forma arquitectura horizontal estática programada. La programación de operaciones y manejo de riesgos se realiza por un compilador. Al no utilizar el nivel de control para el compilador permite una mejor utilización de los recursos del camino de datos, lo que finalmente resultará en un mejor rendimiento. Los beneficios de la tecnología de NISC son los siguientes:

  1. Controlador simple: no hay planificador de hardware, no hay decodificador de instrucciones
  2. Mejor rendimiento: la arquitectura es más flexible, utiliza mejor los recursos
  3. Diseño fácil: no se necesitan diseñar sets de instrucciones

Juego de instrucciones y control de los procesadores son la parte más tediosa y consume mucho tiempo de diseño. Mediante la eliminación de estos dos, el diseño de elementos de proceso personalizado es mucho más fácil.

Además, el camino de datos de los procesadores de NISC incluso se pueden generar de forma automática para una aplicación dada. Por lo tanto, la productividad de los diseñadores se mejora significativamente.
