Taizhou (en chino: 台州市, pinyin:Tāizhōu). Es una ciudad-prefectura en la provincia de Zhejiang, República Popular de China. Limita al norte con Ningbo,al sur con Wenzhou,al oeste con Jinhua y al este con el Mar de China Oriental. Su area es de 9,411 km2 y su poblacion de 5,784,700.

La ciudad prefectura de Taizhou administra 3 distritos, 2 ciudades nivel municipio y 4 condados.

Transporte

Taizhou, una vez fue una zona relativamente inaccesible. Esto ha cambiado debido a las infraestructuras de la década de 1990 y principios de 2000. En la actualidad, Taizhou tiene via por carretera que conectatan a las ciudades vecinas además el aeropuerto internacional de Taizhou tiene salidas a diferentes ciudades del pais incluyendo las diarias de Beijing y Shanghái. En octubre de 2009, la conexión de tren rápido entre Hangzhou-Ningbo-Taizhou y Wenzhou se abrió. Taizhou tiene tres estaciones, en Wenling, Sanmen y Huangyan.
