Belly (7 de abril de 1984, Yenín, Territorios Palestinos) es un cantante de géneros rap y hip hop. Actualmente vive en la ciudad de Ottawa, Canadá.

Belly fue el primer rapero canadiense que debutó en el primer puesto del listado temático de hip hop del territorio. Ganó el premio a "Mejor video de rap" en la entrega anual de premios del canal Much Music. Lanzo un disco doble titulado Belly: The Revolution y debutó en el primer puesto de los repertorios temáticos de su música. En el resto del mundo, el álbum fue lanzado bajo la distribución de Universal Music Group.

Carrera musical

Obtuvo tres sencillos en puestos altos de los listados de éxitos. Su disco doble de debut, fue lanzado en Canadá por CP Records en agosto de 2007. El álbum contó con la colaboración de Fabolous, Scarface, Kurupt, Nina Sky, Ginuwine, Mario Winans, Massari y Monique. La producción fue manejada por Beat Merchant. Como compositor, el formato del disco doble permitió a Belly expresarse a sí mismo como "una persona completa". El álbum The People incluye un contenido líirico centrado a la política, pobreza, sexo y la vida en las calles.

El álbum The System hace un cambio de contenido y sus canciones hablan sobre sentirse bien y tener una vida feliz señalnado buenos tiempos. El paquete doble completo lleva la rúbrica de Belly, con contenido líricamente fuerte. Al respecto, Belly señaló que:

Los problemas no paran una vez que triunfas en esta industria, pero la gente nunca debería arrepentirse de cualquier cosa que les suceda... Yo no sabría donde he estado y acerca de que he estado rapeando, si no hubiese vivido la existencia que viví. El dolor es parte del juego.
