Leslie Steven Berks, conocido como Steven Berkoff, (3 de agosto de 1937, Londres, Inglaterra) es un actor, dramaturgo y director británico, famoso por interpretar papeles de villanos, en populares películas como el general Orlov en la película de James Bond Octopussy.^{[1] [2]} ,^[3] Victor Maitland en Beverly Hills Cop, y el mayor Podovsky en Rambo: First Blood Part II.

Es mecenas del Teatro Nightingale en Brighton, Inglaterra, donde se practica el teatro alternativo.^[4]

Biografía

Nació en Stepney, East End de Londres, hijo del sastre Alfred Berks (Berkovitch) y Pauline (Hyman), de ancestros rumanos. Estudió en el Raine's Foundation Grammar School de 1948 a 1950, en el Hackney Downs School, en la Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, en Londres en 1958, y en la Ecole Jacques Lecoq, en Paris en 1965.
