Bobby Sands MP es un ejemplo más del género musical de música rebelde irlandesa. En este caso, la canción narra la trágica vida de Bobby Sands, militante del IRA y elegido miembro de la Cámara de los Comunes británica, fallecido en una huelga de hambre que realizaron activistas del IRA en la cárcel en 1981 contra el gobierno de Margaret Thatcher.
