Bone[1] es una novela gráfica del autor estadounidense Jeff Smith que consta de cincuenta y cinco capítulos recogidos en nueve volúmenes a color o tres en blanco y negro editados en España por la editorial Astiberri.

Apareció por primera vez en julio de 1991 editado por el propio autor. También han sido publicados dos álbumes complementarios de la serie: Rose y Estúpidas, estúpidas mostrorratas.

Argumento

La historia comienza cuando tres primos se pierden en un desierto que se encuentra fuera del alcance de su mapa. Cada uno por su lado (ya que los separa una plaga de langostas) llega a un enorme y boscoso valle poblado por humanos, animales parlantes y dragones a la vez que amenazado por las temibles, pero con muy poco cerebro (y con gula por las tartas) mostrorratas. Allí conocerán a Thorn, bella joven de la que Fone Bone se enamora, a la abuela Ben, criadora de vacas de carreras, y a Lucius Down, dueño de la popular taberna The Barrel Haven, entre otros personajes. Los dos primeros capítulos sirven como introducción a la trama, ya que tienen un carácter más humorístico que el resto. Poco a poco se irán desvelando los secretos que cada uno de los personajes y que el propio valle esconde.
