Brendan Gill

Brendan Gill (20 de octubre de 1914 – 27 de diciembre de 1997) fue un crítico de cine, teatro y arquitectura de la revista estadounidense The New Yorker por más de 60 años.

Se recibió en la Universidad de Yale en 1936; se especializó en preservación arquitectónica y escribió 15 libros sobre el tema. También se dedicó a las artes visuales; en su libro Here at The New Yorker compiló anécdotas, fotografías y dibujos de sus años como colaborador de la revista.

En septiembre de 1989, Gill escribió un artículo muy controvertido llamado "The faces of Joseph Campbell" para el New York Review of Books en donde acusó a Campbell entre otras cosas de antisemita tras su éxito con la serie de relatos The Power of Myth.

Murió el 27 de diciembre de 1997 a la edad de 83 años de causas naturales.
