Bruce Halpenny Barrymore es un conocido historiador militar británico,[1] [2] experto en los aeropuertos y aviones militares.[3] [4] También es conocido por sus historias sobre los misterios y pantasma principalmente relacionados con la RAF.

Carrera literaria

En la década de 1950, fue herido y tuvo que someterse a varias operaciones, en el que su vida estaba en la balanza, los cirujanos se dedicaronn a salvar su mano, su brazo, y su vida. En la rehabilitación comenzó a escribir y a investigar como un hobby, Halpenny escribio sobre los aeropuertos y la historia militar de la RAF. Bruce Barrymore Halpenny es conocido por sus libros, llamados la estación fantasma, que se refieren a pantasmas historias y misterios y sus vínculos con los militares y el aeropuerto de la RAF (Ghost Stations). Halpenny se caracterizo por ser muy activo en las campañas de numerosas organizaciones y causas, especialmente con respecto a los veteranos, las viudas de la guerra, los soldados heridos y discapacitados. Habló también acerca de la importancia de la cultura y la identidad de las regiones. En la década de 1970, fue el principal arquitecto para ayudar a instalar el aeropuerto de Pescara y que se convirtiera en internacional. También ha sido durante mucho tiempo un defensor del bienestar de los animales, especialmente perros y lobos y es el presidente de la Fundación Wolf Preservación.

Bruce y su esposa, escritor ecuestre, Marion Rose Halpenny, tienen un hijo, Baron Barrymore Halpenny, quien es escritor y diseñador gráfico.
