Nobel.- Asteroide n.º. 6032 de la serie (1983 PY), descubierto el 4 de agosto de 1983 desde Nauchnyj por Lyudmila Georgievna Karachkina (1948- ).

Nombrado en memoria del sueco Alfred Nobel (1833-96), inventor de la dinamita y fundador de la Fundación Internacional Nobel. Nombre sugerido por S. P. Kapitsa, hijo de Pyotr Leonidovich Kapitsa (1894-1984) que obtuvo el premio Nobel de Física en 1978, junto con Arno Allan Penzias (1933- ) y Robert Woodrow Wilson (1936- ), por sus descubrimientos sobre las radiaciones de fondo de las microondas cósmicas.
