Carol Sharkey

Carol Sharkey nació en 1940. Es una modelo de las primeras conejitas que ha habido en Playboy de Estados Unidos. Y es conocida por ser la madre del famoso cantante Hard Rock y Glam Metal Jon Bon Jovi.

De origen humilde, empezó trabajando en una floristería que quedaba cerca de la peluquería de su futuro marido Frank Bongiovanni. Ya casada con el peluquero Frank Bongiovi, este, intentó situarla en el mundo de la moda, meta que alcanzó en un muy breve espacio de tiempo llegando a salir en numerosos magazines de importante relevancia, para más tarde ser conejita de la bien conocida revista Playboy.

En 1962 da a luz a John Francis Bongiovi, (Jon Bon Jovi) y luego a su hermano Anthony Bongiovi. A ella le gustaba la música, sobre todo The Beatles, y es así como su hijo se interesó en lo mismo, convirtiéndose en cantante. Ella lo llevaba a practicar canto y le hacía tocar instrumentos musicales.

Durante la década de los 80's, ella fue la presidenta del club de fans del famoso grupo de su hijo. Posición que actualmente sigue regentando. Hoy en día aún sigue acompañando a su hijo en los conciertos que realiza.
