Casma es una ciudad del centro-noroeste del Perú, capital de la Provincia de Casma (Departamento de Ancash), ubicado en la parte baja del valle que forma el río Casma en medio del desierto costero peruano.

Es patrona de Casma santa María Magdalena, donde se le celebra el 22 de julio.

Se ve un fuerte mestizaje de chinos con la poblacion amerindia y/o blanca.
