Charles Greene Rockwood

Charles Greene Rockwood (Nueva York, 1843- 1913) Astrónomo norteamericano.

Biografía

Estudió en las universidades de Yale y de Princeton y en 1868 fue nombrado profesor de matemáticas de Bowdoin, luego de matemáticas y astronomía en la Universidad de Rutgers y de 1877 a 1905, de la Universidad de Princeton. Formó parte de la expedición enviada a Colorado por dicha universidad para observar el eclipse de 1878 y perteneció a numerosas sociedades científicas americanas y europeas. Colaboró en el American Journal of Science y en otras publicaciones.
