Claude E. Shannon Award

El Claude E. Shannon Award de la Sociedad de Teoría de la Información del IEEE fue constituido para reconocer las contribuciones realizadas en el campo de la teoría de la información. El premio lleva el nombre de Claude Elwood Shannon, para reconocer sus importantes y pioneras contribuciones en esta área.

El ganador del premio Shannon debe presentar una lección magistral en el IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory al año siguiente al que ha recibido el premio.
