Rhizome Collective

El Rhizome Collective (Colectivo Rizoma) es una organización sin fines de lucro y cuyo funcionamiento es llevado por consensos, tiene sede en Austin, Texas, Estados Unidos. El colectivo fue fundado en 2000 y tiene a su cargo un Centro Educativo para la Sostenibilidad Urbana y un Centro para la Organización de la Comunidad. Es de inspiración anarquista.

En 2004, el colectivo recibió una concesión de $200.000 de la Agencia de Protección del Medio Ambiente de Estados Unidos para convertir un lote abandonado en Montopolis, Austin, en un parque educativo.

Rizosfera

El Colectivo Rizoma hace funcionar tres almacenes en Allen Street en Austin del Este. Estos almacenes y el 1/3 acre (1.300 metros cuadrados) en que se asientan componen la Rizosfera. Además de contener el colectivo, la Rizosfera se utiliza como espacio para el desarrollo de las prácticas de sostenibilidad urbana. La Rizosfera aloja en su espacio a organizaciones tales como la sección Indymedia de Austin, la Biblioteca de Zines de Austin, el Inside Books Project, Bicicletas Sin Fronteras y un Food not Bombs.
