Daily Planet

El Daily Planet es un periódico ficticio que aparece en los cómics de Superman y, en ocasiones, en las páginas de otros títulos de la editorial DC Comics. Podemos encontrar en sus oficinas situadas en la ciudad de Metrópolis a algunos personajes como Perry White, su editor en jefe; Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane o Clark Kent, la identidad secreta de Superman. En los cómics de Superman, el Daily Planet es un periódico de tirada nacional del mismo calibre que el New York Times.

El edificio del Daily Planet se encuentra en el centro de Metrópolis en la esquina de Fifth Street con Concord Lane. Empezó a publicarse en 1775 y George Washington publicó un editorial para su primera edición diaria. El elemento que más llamativo y distintivo del edificio del Daily Planet es el enormo globo que se encuentra en la parte alta del mismo.
