Dalton Trumbo

Dalton Trumbo (9 de diciembre de 1905 – 10 de septiembre de 1976) fue un novelista, guionista y director de cine estadounidense perseguido por el macarthismo por sus ideas políticas por lo que tuvo que trabajar frecuentemente con pseudónimos. Entre sus películas destaca Johnny cogió su fusil y el guión de Espartaco.

Con la película The brave one, que firmó con el pseudónimo de Robert Rich, consiguió el Oscar al Mejor Guión en 1957, pero al estar su nombre real vetado por la industria no pudo recogerlo. Finalmente el premio le fue entregado el 2 de mayo de 1975.

Murió de un ataque al corazón a la edad de 71 años.
