Dennis Hamley (* 1936 en Kent) es un escritor británico.
Hamley perteneció a la Royal Air Force, luego estudió inglés en Cambridge y fue profesor durante muchos años. Desde hace más de 25 años escribe novelas y cuentos y organiza regularmente talleres de escritura para niños y jóvenes. Tiene dos hijos y vive con su mujer en Hertford, Inglaterra.
