El Lavi

El Lavi, nombre artístico de Manuel Díaz Cantoral (Cádiz, 11 de marzo de 1811 - Lima, Perú, 9 de diciembre de 1858) fue un torero andaluz.

Biografía

Fue educado en la casa-matadero. Tomó la alternativa en Cádiz el 27 de marzo de 1842 con F.Montes Paquiro y su hermano Gaspar. Se presentó en Madrid el 17 de abril de 1843, con toros de Gariva y Sandoval, con Pastor y Ezpeleta. Era de origen gitano. Falleció de aneurisma.
