Elgiloy® es una aleación de níquel (20%), cobalto (40%), cromo (20%), molibdeno (7%), manganeso (2%), hierro, carbono y berilio, con una densidad de 8,30 g/cm³.

Características y aplicaciones

Sus características son una alta fortaleza y una buena resistencia a la temperatura y corrosión. Se utiliza en la fabricación de resortes, cierres de cremallera, termostatos y alumbrado público. Su biocompatibilidad permite su uso en implantes.
