Ellen Auerbach

Ellen Auerbach (20 de mayo de 1906, Karlsruhe, Alemania — † 30 de julio de 2004, Nueva York, Estados Unidos), fue una importante fotógrafa alemana inicialmente conocida por su nombre de soltera, Ellen Rosenberg.

A finales de los años 20 del siglo XX fundó el estudio fotográfico ringl + pit junto con Grete Stern, fotógrafa que se había formado en la Escuela de la Bauhaus. Ellen Rosenberg también recibió formación de uno de los antiguos profesores de esta afamada escuela, Walter Peterhans, gracias al cual conoció a la propia Grete.

Debido a su origen judío, con la llegada de Hitler al poder abandonó Alemania con su marido en dirección a Palestina, aunque posteriormente terminarían emigrando a Estados Unidos.
