Genderqueer

Genderqueer e Intergénero son términos generales para aquellas identidades de género que no son ni hombre ni mujer.

Las personas que se identifican como genderqueer, pueden verse a sí mismos como masculina y femenina, como ni masculino ni femenino o completamente aparte de estos géneros. Algunas personas tienen características del sexo opuesto, otras las tienen de ambos.

Algunos genderqueer ven su identidad como una de muchos posibles géneros más allá de masculino y femenino, mientras otros ven el término como la posibilidad de englobar ambos géneros en uno, un tercer género o ser una persona sin género.

Los genderqueer se encuentran unidos por su rechazo la noción de que existen tan sólo dos géneros. El término puede utilizarse como un adjetivo para referirse a una persona que trasciende el concepto del género, sin tener en cuenta su propia identidad de género.
