Genkei Masamune ( * 1899 - 1993 ) fue un botánico japonés , que trabajó en Formosa y luego, tras la segunda guerra mundial, en Taiwán. Desarrolló exhautivos índices botánicos de Borneo y de Taiwán, como asimismo en la identificación y clasificación de un gran número de nuevas especies.
