Graveyard Shift es un proyecto para la formación de un grupo de Death Metal Melódico creado por miembros y antiguos integrantes del grupo de Power Metal, Sonata Arctica. En concreto, por el antiguo guitarrista, y uno de los fundadores del grupo, Jani Liimatainen y y Henrik Klingenberg teclado de Sonata, que se unió al grupo en 2002. Fundada durante el otoño del 2005, GS es principalmente influenciada por Strapping Young Lad, In Flames y Soilwork. Hasta ahora solo fue grabado un demo de 4 pistas y la banda se encuentra buscando un contrato.
