Hele es un personaje de la mitología griega.

Hele es hija del rey Atamante y de su primera esposa. Vuelto a casar su padre, Ino, su madrastra, urde por celos una trama contra ella y su hermano, Frixo, de forma que ambos van a ser sacrificados cuando un carnero con el vellocino de oro se los lleva a ambos por los aires, hacia la Cólquide, donde solo Frixo llega, pues Hele perece al caer durante el vuelo al mar, en el estrecho que separa al Mediterráneo del Mar Negro.

En recuerdo de la joven desaparecida, el mar donde se ahogó llevó el nombre de Helesponto, que significa literalmente el mar de Hele. Actualmente es el estrecho de los Dárdanelos.
