Howardena Pindell

Howardena Pindell (Filadelfia, 1943 - ). Artista estadounidense de raza negra.

Se graduó en bellas artes y artes aplicadas en la Universidad de Boston en 1965 y obtuvo su Maestría en Bellas Artes en 1967 en la Universidad de Yale. Se caracteriza por un arte de denuncia, especialmente contra el racismo.

A noviembre de 2004 era profesora y directora de la Escuela de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Stony Brook de Nueva York.
