Into the Music es el undécimo álbum de estudio del músico norirlandés Van Morrison, publicado en 1979.

Como habitualmente en el caso de Van Morrison, Into the Music se basa en una variedad de estilos, desde el R&B hasta la música celta. Tras su publicación, el álbum fue aclamado como el "retorno" de Morrison tras dos trabajos de pobres reseñas. Hasta la actualidad, la reputación de Into the Music ha ido creciendo y es considerado uno de los mejores álbumes de Van Morrison.

Las canciones fueron en su mayoría compuestas mientras Morrison se alojaba con Herbie Armstrong en Epwell, Inglaterra, quedando plasmado el ambiente en el espíritu musical. Durante este tiempo, Van solía caminar a través del campo rasgueando su guitarra.[1]

El poder curativo de la música fue introducido sutilmente en el tema "And ther Healing Has Begun", convirtiéndose en un tema principal dentro de la música de Van Morrison. La mayoría de las canciones eran una celebración del amor y de la vida, especialmente "Troubadours", "Steppin' Out Queen" y "You Make Me Feel So Free".[2]

El cronista de la revista Rolling Stone Jay Cocks dijo acerca de Into the Music: "Eso es de lo que éste álbum trata, orgulloso y sin disculpas. Resurección. Verdadera esperanza".

David Marsh describió la segunda parte del álbum como "la mejor cara que Morrison ha creado desde Astral Weeks". La suite musical es también notable por la interpolación de una versión de una canción de los años 50, "It's All in the Game".

El tema que abre el álbum, "Bright Side of the Road", obtuvo un gran éxito en el Reino Unido como sencillo, donde alcanzó el puesto 12.

El 29 de enero de 2008, Into the Music fue remasterizado y reeditado por Exile/Polydor con tomas alternativas de "Steppin' Out Queen" y "Troubadours" como temas extra.[3]
