John J. Mearsheimer.

John J. Mearsheimer (nacido en diciembre de 1947) es profesor de servicio distinguido R. Wendell Harrison de ciencia política en la Universidad de Chicago. El es un conocido teórico de relaciones internacionales. Quizás mejor conocido por su libro pionero en el "realismo ofensivo", The Tragedy of Great Power Politics, más recientemente Mearsheimer ha atraído considerablemente la atención del público por coescribir y publicar un artíulo que luego fue publicado como un libro, El lobby israelí (cuyo nombre original en inglés es The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy), un best-seller de New York Times.
