Joseph R. Stromberg es un analista e investigador político paleolibertario estadounidense, columnista de Antiwar.com, LewRockwell.com y The Freeman. Sus intereses de investigación incluyen la política exterior de los Estados Unidos, la guerra contra el terrorismo y la historia de los antifederalistas. Es investigador en el Independent Institute, y anteriormente ocupó la cátedra JoAnn B. Rothbard en historia del Instituto Ludwig von Mises. Estudió en Florida Atlantic University y en la Universidad de Florida.

Stromberg acuñó el término libervencionismo[1] para criticar a quienes como él se definen libertarios, suponiendo que filosóficamente defienden la no intervención del Estado en las vidas de sus ciudadanos, pero que contradictoriamente defienden la intervención militar, colonial o política en naciones extranjeras al igual que los neoconservadores.[2]
