Keyhole, Inc, fundado en 2001, fue una empresa pionera en el desarrollo de software especializado en aplicaciones de visualización de datos geoespaciales y adquirida por Google en 2004. La primera ronda de financiación provino de Sony y el capital adicional provino de NVIDIA. Posteriormente recibió fondos de la CIA, a través de su empresa de capital, In-Q-Tel y del Inversor Angel Brian McClendon, que más tarde entró como miembro de la junta.

Algunos de los principales productos que se basaron en la tecnología de núcleo de Keyhole fueron Google Earth, Google Maps, Google Mobile y el Keyhole Markup Language.

El nombre de Keyhole es también un homenaje a los satélites de reconocimiento KH, de reconocimiento militar de hace 30 años.
