"Killing in the Name" es el primer sencillo de la banda estadounidense de rap metal Rage Against the Machine, publicado en su su álbum debut homónimo. Lanzada como sencillo principal del álbum en noviembre de 1992, la canción alcanzó el puesto 25 en el UK Singles Chart. En ocasiones, la canción es titulada como "Killing in the Name of", pero es incorrecto en comparación a la lista de canciones del disco.

Escrita sobre la revolución contra el racismo en los organismos de seguridad, "Killing in the Name" es ampliamente reconocida como la canción símbolo de la banda, y ha sido conocida por su distintivo riffs de guitarra y uso intensivo de lenguaje de protesta fuerte.

El 31 de agosto de 1999, fue editada de nuevo con una canción inédita, "Darkness of Greed", junto con la canción "Clear the Lane". La cubierta del álbum, tiene la controvertida fotografía del Thích Quảng Đức, un monje budista Vietnamita, quemándose a lo bonzo en Saigón en 1963, en protesta a las muertes de budistas a cargo del régimen del primer ministro Ngô Đình Diệm.

La canción está incluida en el videojuego Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas en la Radio X así como en el videojuego Guitar Hero II y en la nueva versión del juego Guitar Hero: Smash Hits.
