Lawson es una cadena de tiendas de mini-super en Japón.

El nombre "Lawson" es originario de Ohio, EE. UU. alrededor de 1939. J.J. Lawson empezó a abrir tiendas en el estado de Ohio, principalmente para vender leche. La compañía fue comprada por Consolidated Foods en 1959.

En 1974, Consolidated Foods firmó un acuerdo con Daiei para abrir las primeras sucursales de las tiendas Lawson en Japón. El 15 de abril de 1975 se estableció Daiei Lawson Co., Ltd. como subsidiaria de Daiei. La primera tienda se inauguró en Sakurazaka en la prefectura de Osaka. Hoy en día es la segunda más grande cadena de mini-super en Japón después de Seven Eleven con más de 8.500 sucursales en 47 prefecturas. En septiembre de 1979, el nombre oficial pasó a ser Lawson Japan, Inc. En 2001 fue comprado por Mitsubishi.

Vende una gran variedad de abarrotes, revistas y periódicos, artículos de papelería y de tocador, comida preparada como onigiri y obento así como artículos promocionales.
