El Lighthouse Tower (La torre faro en español) es un rascacielos de uso comercial aprobado para su construcción en Dubái, Emiratos Árabes Unidos. Será construido en la zona de "Dubai International Financial Centre" o el que será el centro financiero de este emirato. Se elevará 400 m y constará de 66 plantas. La torre es un ambicioso proyecto de "edificio verde", lo que nos quiere dar a entender que se ha pensado en la sostenibilidad y el menor empleo de recursos naturales por parte del edifico.

Aspectos medioambientales

Habrá en la parte superior del rascacielos tres grandes turbinas de 225 kW, éstas generarán en parte la electricidad que se consumirá en el edificio. También estará recubierto de 4.000 paneles solares que irán destinados al mismo fin que las turbinas. La torre reducirá con estas y otras medidas un 65% del consumo eléctrico general, y un 40% el consumo de agua. Ha sido diseñado por los arquitectos de Atkins.
