Matt Giteau ( nacido el 29 de septiembre de 1982 en Sydney, Australia) es un jugador de rugby, internacional con Australia. Asistió al Colegio de s. Edmund, Canberra, del que han salido otros Wallabies incluyendo a George Gregan, Matt Henjak y la antigua estrella de rugby league y ahora entrenador Ricky Stuart. Hasta ahora ha jugado 61 partidos del Super 14 y 60 tests con Austrlia. Las posiciones habituales de Giteau son el primer centro y apertura aunque él comenzó su carrera como medio melé. Debutó con Australia en 2002 contra Inglaterra en Twickenham y fue elegido como uno de los cinco mejores jugadores en el mundo en 2004. Su padre Ron Giteau es un antiguo jugador de rugby league, y su hermana mayor Kristy es internacional con Austrlia en las dos modalidades (union y league).
