Mercedes Llopart

Mercedes Llopart (1895, Barcelona - 1970, Milán) fue una renombrada soprano española que posteriormente se convirtio en famosa maestra de cantantes.[1]

Canto en el estreno de la ópera Sly de Wolf-Ferrari en el Teatro alla Scala, en 1927, con el tenor Aureliano Pertile. En 1928 cantó Der Rosenkavalier bajo la batuta de Richard Strauss, con Conchita Supervía como Octavian. Estrenó La campana sommersa de Ottorino Respighi, en 1929 y en 1933 cantó Elsa (Lohengrin), en la Arena de Verona.[2]

Entre sus mas conocidos pupilos figuraron Renata Tebaldi, Montserrat Caballé, Fiorenza Cossotto, Alfredo Kraus, Renata Scotto,Francisco Ortiz, Ana María Iriarte, Anna Moffo y Elena Suliotis.
