Moonlight Drive es un tema escrito por Jim Morrison en forma de poema. Según la biografía de Morrison, No One Here Gets Out Alive, cuando éste le canto a Ray Manzarek el tema, el último quedó encantado y sugirió de inmediato que se uniera a la banda de él y sus hermanos Rick & The Ravens.
