Morning Star fue un club de fútbol chileno, que tuvo como sede la ciudad de Santiago. En el año 1907, en el sector de Independencia.

Historia

En mayo de 1933, en idea conjunta con Colo-Colo, Bádminton, Unión Española, Audax Italiano, Magallanes, Santiago National y Green Cross crea la Liga Profesional. En la primera edición del Campeonato Profesional el Morning Star ocupó el 5 lugar,producto de 2 triunfos (sobre Santiago National y Green Cross) 1 empate y 4 derrotas. El año, el club terminó en el último puesto (entre 12 equipos), sin ganar un partido logró apenas 2 empates y nueve derrotas, algunas de ellas espectaculares, entre las que destacan un 11-0 que le propinó Magallanes y un 14-1 a manos de la Unión Española. Al año siguiente no participó del Campeonato.

A través de la fusión del Santiago F.C. y Morning Star, acaecida en el año 1936, se forma el Santiago Morning, manteniendo como fecha de fundación, la más antigua de los dos clubes, la cual correspondía a al Santiago F.C. (16 de octubre de 1903).

Cabe mencionar que, el 22 de julio de 1933, Morning Star cayó por 1 a 3 ante Audax Italiano en el que constituyó el primer encuentro oficial en la historia del fútbol profesional chileno. La alineación de Morning Star estuvo conformada por Jorge Olate; Guillermo Corbari, Oscar Sánchez; Amador Oyanedel, Arturo Ahumada, Isaías González; Segundo Chaparro, Osvaldo Carvajal, Humberto Roa, Manuel Castro y Erasmo Fuentes.
